A Tidewater Way Retreat…
A Time Apart for Clergy Couples Involved in Parish Ministry
Clergy couples in parish ministry have been challenged by the demands of home and parish. There is that ongoing tension involving a spouse/partner’s vocation, children, larger family systems and the rigors of every-day life. Often it feels like a high wire act.
You
are invited to Tidewater Way for a two-day retreat that will look at
how to achieve balance as an individual and a couple. Through worship,
guided meditations, sharing of personal experience, time together and
time apart, we will explore change and growth that lead to greater
balance in our lives.
This retreat will be offered three times in 2010: January 21-23
(Thursday-Saturday);
May 6-8
(Thursday-Saturday) September 24-26
(Friday-Sunday)
Led by Pam and John Van Siclen, who have shared parish ministry for thirty years, each retreat is open to three couples. Tidewater Way has three comfortable, separate spaces that lend themselves to the style of this retreat. We are located on thirty-six wooded acres in South Bristol, Maine on the north branch of the John’s River.
